Market Regulation
What does market regulation do?
Market regulation staff reviews how an insurance company and its representatives treat consumers in the marketplace through a process called market conduct. Companies are examined for compliance with Kansas insurance laws and regulations in underwriting, policyholder service, claims, marketing and sales, producer licensing, and complaint handling.
For more information on how the market conduct process is handled, please review this memo outlining the steps taken by market regulation staff.
Market Conduct Examinations
By Kansas statute market conduct examinations are publicly available. A full list of completed examinations, including executive summaries and full reports, is available here.
